Ascent – Bristol
Ascent is a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and VT Group, and is working with the Ministry of Defence to provide military flight training to the UK Armed Forces for the next 25 years.
Branch has recently completed a state-of-the-art Information Services installation within Ascents new HQ in Bristol. The installation was carried out over 3 floors and supplied voice and data services for approximately 250 people. Cable containment was in the form of wire basket and galvanised copex. It featured the use of a ‘plug and play’ floor void basket system, which saved over 15 man days of installation labour. Branch also carried out the installation of floor boxes and cabling (cat6 and fibre) as well as all termination, labelling and testing. The system was designed and built to comply with the high standards required for Dii. A massive success for Branch as the project was delivered within a tight 5 week programme and on budget.
