Wireless Local Area Network Surveys
Deploying a wireless LAN can be a massive challenge.
>
How many AP’s will be needed for coverage?
> How will they be powered?
> What configuration model should be used?
> Should I go for a fat/thin AP solution?
> Will they give the performance required for my applications?
Why try to estimate the answers to these questions?.…Any errors could prove to be very expensive!
Branch Technologies' engineers can carry out a comprehensive survey from which we can fully cost the wireless solution for you. We can even deal with the physical implementation and, in some cases, utilise cabling that is now redundant due to your wireless deployment.
We use the latest surveying technology to design the perfect wireless network to suit your requirements. The survey also includes a ‘heat map’ showing throughput speeds once the wireless network is installed.

Troubleshooting Existing Wireless LANs
The environment in which your WLAN exists is forever changing. Performing a wireless health check can prevent issues before they become a problem, adding potential economic benefits. If you’re already experiencing problems with your wireless LAN, then a full network analysis can be performed and a solution provided.
Wireless Bridging & Building to Building Links
Branch Technologies also specialises in private bridging solutions. These wireless bridges provide point to point link between sites over short or long distances, avoiding the significant cost associated with fibre cabling or leased lines.
We offer the following WLAN connectivity solutions:
Licensed Microwave
Free Space Optics (FSO)
Radio Frequency (RF)

February 2010
Branch Technologies Ltd is pleased to announce the completion of the latest phase of an ongoing project for Cable & Wireless. The project; commissioned by Cable & Wireless on behalf of Royal and Sun Alliance was to implement and enhance their adoption of VoIP for their Pearl Centre campus near Peterborough. The installation was designed to address the requirements of 800 staff, via a 2600 point CAT6 UTP Brand-Rex installation. Spread over two buildings, supporting four new comms rooms (all built by Branch) the implementation featured OM3 50/125 Multimode fibre links x 240 between all comms rooms and server room; all with built in resilience and failover for the Cisco 6500 equipment.
Colin Pyatt of the RSA stated: “I pass on my thanks to you [Branch Technologies] and your teams for their efforts in the delivery at Peterborough. All parties involved have commented on the professionalism and exemplary attitude and approach displayed throughout the project by all Branch staff. This certainly gives RSA a high degree of confidence for forthcoming projects…”
